About the Artist

CARLOS SPIVEY‘s multidisciplinary art—from paintings and quilts to mosaics and stained glass—reflects the cultural diversity, dignity and beauty of Black people. The Los Angeles native is an artist-in-residence at the Watts Towers Arts Center Campus. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and a master’s degree in Film/Animation from UCLA.
