Art on TAP

Metro’s first limited edition “Art on TAP” cards featuring artworks commissioned by Metro Art launched exclusively on the A Line (Blue). The initial three artwork designs will be The Journey Home by Eric AlmanzaLast Stop by Jazmine Atienza and Kid by Angela Willcocks. Metro plans to roll out additional “Art on TAP” cards in the future.

The artworks are portraits of A Line (Blue) riders created by local artists as part of a new series entitled More People Than You KnowThe portraits evoke both intimate and universal stories of those who use this vital transit line. The entire series of twelve portraits is also featured on the new digital screens installed at each of the A Line (Blue) stations.

The limited edition “Art on TAP” cards are now available at TAP vending machines at the stations listed below. Be sure to check the sticker above the TVM screens to see which cards are in stock. Not all stations have each design. TAP cards cost $2 and are reusable.
