Project Description
Inspired by Leimert Park’s gardens and ever-present sound of music, Bloom Song Sing emulates polyrhythmic and multi-timbral qualities of music with blooming flowers as a means to celebrate the neighborhoods’ unique “visual music”. A testament to care and community, these ever-blooming colorful flowers are layered with graphic and static elements in the same way the surrounding neighborhoods sounds and architecture provide beauty and wonder.
About the Artist
ANNA LUISA PETRISKO is a Los Angeles-based interdisciplinary artist working in video art, experimental opera, sculpture and immersive media. Her work explores future and ancient ideas at a non-linear tempo.
