Join Metro Art commissioned artist Rigo 23 at the Kuruvungna Village Springs  to learn about his artwork design for the future D Line Wilshire/Rodeo Station. The artwork is inspired by Tongva people and culture, past and present. Learn more about his artwork “Gathering of the Waters.”

The artist will be joined by Bob Ramirez, President of the Gabrielino-Tongva Springs Foundation, who will lead a walking tour of the Kuruvungna Village Springs.

Following the tour and artist talk, participants are invited to an art-making workshop with Rigo 23 to make drawings for a communal portrait inspired by the landscape and history of the Springs. 

RSVP is required for the art-making workshop as capacity is limited, RSVP HERE (limited to 40 participants).

This event takes place outdoors, please prepare accordingly.
