Join us to create a unique representation of your image inspired by LACMA’s Black American Portraits, an exhibition that reframes portraiture to center Black American subjects, sitters, and spaces, and Metro Art’s We Are… Portraits of Metro Riders by Local Artists, a multi-site exhibition featuring transit riders throughout L.A. County that presents personal and universal stories and invites broad public participation. Guests will be invited to create their own portraits using artistic techniques inspired by the process of artists in the LACMA and LA Metro exhibitions. Artist Chelle Barbour, whose work is featured in both exhibitions, will facilitate the workshop.
