Born in the Philippines, Eliseo Art Silva is a painter, muralist, author, educator, dramatist and designer. Through his artwork, he is interested in conveying marginalized narratives. Eliseo earned a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design, and MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. He is best known for his Los Angeles mural ??????? ?????????? (?????? ???????), the largest Filipino-American painted mural in the U.S. Follow Eliseo on IG at @elesi_72

Jade Gonzalez is a home care aide worker in Los Angeles. He is originally from the Philippines and has made his home in the U.S. for the past 6 years. As the breadwinner for his family, deciding to come to the U.S. was a matter of survival for him. Jade studied nursing for two years in the Philippines, but then went on to have a career in sales & marketing in the advertising industry.

It became a challenge to support his family, so he took a risk and moved to the U.S. in February 2016. He began working as a live-in caregiver a week after he arrived. Since then, Jade has worked as a homecare worker for various clients and takes public transportation to and from work. Follow Jade on IG at @jade_e_gonzalez
