We Ride Together features snapshots of the artist’s last night out on the train with friends before the COVID-19 lockdown. The work symbolizes accessibility and freedom—to move throughout the city and to connect with friends and loved ones.

About the Artist

KAYLYNN KIM is an illustrator and cartoonist whose work is rooted in emotional introspection and influenced by the people and environment around her. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she earned a BFA in Illustration from ArtCenter College of Design.
