DESCRIPTION:UPDATE – The poster signing and meet-the-artist will take place at the Apollo Lighting event on Saturday\, December 10.\n  \n\n  \nArtist Jeaneen Carlino will debut her new tribute to the City of Downey created for the Metro Art’s Through the Eyes of Artists poster series at a meet-the-artist event and signing taking place at the Apollo Lighting event at the Columbia Memorial Space Center. \nCarlino will be signing posters\, and Metro Art staff will also be on hand with information on Metro Art programs. \nThe City of Downey and Columbia Memorial Space Center (CMSC) are organizing the annual event\, which is a twist on a traditional community tree lighting. Instead\, an outdoor replica of the Apollo space capsule will be lit. There will also be a tuba concert with holiday tunes and plenty of hands-on activities where science meets the holidays! \nThe poster features colorful architectural landmarks framed by stylized streets\, a railroad crossing and power lines to capture the city’s nostalgic past and urban present. \nThe Through the Eyes of Artists Downey poster will be featured on the Metro fleet from early December 2022 through mid February 2023. \nSaturday\, December 10\, 2022\, 4-6pm\nColumbia Memorial Space Center\n12400 Columbia Way\nDowney CA 90242 \nGo Metro to Downey!
