DESCRIPTION:Join Metro Art commissioned artist Gala Porras-Kim on Saturday\, August 12th\, for a tour of her exhibition\, The weight of a patina of time\, at The Fowler Museum at UCLA\, next to the future Westwood/UCLA Station. \nThe artist and The Fowler Museum’s Chief Curator\, Matthew H. Robb\, will provide a walkthrough of her exhibition\, highlighting the artworks that relate to the artists’ Metro commission. Porras-Kim is one of 26 artists/artist teams creating site-specific\, integrated artworks for the Westside Purple (D Line) Extension Transit Project.  \nEvent Details:\n\n\nSaturday\, August 12\, 2023 at the Fowler Museum at UCLA (308 Charles E Young Dr. N\, Los Angeles\, CA 90024 )\nTours offered at 1 and 2:30pm. Each tour lasts approximately one hour. \nTours and museum entry will be free\nEvent capacity is 50 people per tour\nRSVP required (below)\n\nRSVP HERE\nGetting there:\n\n\nGo Metro\nParking: Enter UCLA Lot 4 from Sunset Blvd. at Westwood Plaza.
