Metro K Line! Fest at Leimert Park Plaza

Hey LA, you’re invited to celebrate the grand opening of the K Line! Enjoy live music and dance performance, food from some of the best eateries along the K Line, giveaways and more!
The K Line will open to the public at noon on Friday, October 7, 2022, and rides on all Metro rail, bus, and bike share will be free all weekend long!
Try out the new train, and hop off at Leimert Park Station and head over to Leimert Park Plaza for the K Line! Fest from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday only to celebrate together, free and open to all!
Seven stations, each with its own unique and original artwork!
Friday’s line up, presented by Metro Art, showcases:
- Emcees: Medusa and Ben Caldwell (KAOS Network)
- SHINE Muwasi
- Kouman Kele West African Dance Company
- Lula Washington Dance Theatre
- Pan African Arktet
- Dwight Trible
- Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center Band
- Bananas: Alph tha Alien, All City Jimmy, Linafornia, VerBs + Rhys Langston
- Kamau Daáood + a Band of Griots
Leimert Park Plaza is located at 43rd Place and Degnan Boulevard, adjacent to the new Leimert Park Station.
