The artist documents intimate moments between her family and the family’s next generation’s firstborn, Louise, as a way of mourning the loss of her mother Louisa and seeking hope in the future of Louise. This work is a chapter in her long-term family series Three Dots and Tear Drops.
“Our grief (of losing my mother) could not exist in the same space of our happy new baby wanting our attention. I photographed him as a response to the joyous moments spending time with him after long days at work and school.”
