Project Description
The sea breeze flows at its own pace through a delightful stretch of shops, merging old and new together info vivid blocks of color. Studying the slow flow of life on the palm tree lined sidewalks in this beachside neighborhood, there is pause in time—observing where the old meets the new, watching the sky meet the sand as colorful splashes of clothing and paintings line the walkways outside of small local shops, and feeling the ocean breeze as you pass by.
This artwork was commissioned for Metro’s Through the Eyes of Artists poster series for display in the fleet.
Artist Statement
