Honoring the selfless community service of the many individuals in our periphery, Ebony depicts daily Metro-rider Ebony Wilson, who is the Los Angeles Unified School District’s hearing secretary and the admission director of a scholarship program for urban youth.

About the Artist

Los Angeles artist SEAN CHEETHAM‘s intimate figurative paintings are rooted in draftsmanship and the alla prima technique. Cheetham studied at the College of San Mateo before earning a BFA from ArtCenter College of Design. His paintings have been exhibited at international venues, including the National Portrait Gallery.
