2020 Metro Artist Pool FAQ
The Artist Pool is one of the primary methods for inviting artists to apply for future Metro art opportunities. Inclusion in the Artist Pool does not guarantee a commission.
Q: I submitted my materials online through SlideRoom when the Artist Pool call was open. When will I hear back from you about whether or not I was selected for the 2020 Artist Pool?
A: If you received a confirmation email from SlideRoom after submitting your materials then you are in the pool. All artists who successfully submitted their materials online through SlideRoom in response to the call for the 2020 Artist Pool are included and will be considered for opportunities.
Q: That’s great! How will I know if I’m being considered for these opportunities and when will I hear from you?
A: We will be referring to the 2020 Artist Pool for a wide range of opportunities over the next few years, so it may be a while before you hear from us. We will contact you directly in the future if you are short-listed to develop a proposal for a specific opportunity. At that time, short-listed artists will be provided relevant project information and a stipend to develop and present proposals for evaluation by a community-based peer review panel.
